Dutch Directors Guild
The Dutch Directors Guild (founded in 1998) is the interest group for professional film and television directors in the Netherlands. DDG has approximately 330 members.
Novel will be responsible for the PR campaign of a seminar about cultural diversity in the film and television industry, which will be held at the Dutch Film Festival. The seminar is organized together with ACT Acteursbelangen, Netwerk Scenarioschrijvers, Filmproducenten Nederland, het Filmfonds and the Dutch Film Festival. The seminar, which is titled The Making Of … diversity in the film sector, will take place on the 27th of September at the Stadsschouwburg in Utrecht and is a part of the professionals program of the Dutch Film Festival. Additionally, The Filmfonds will elaborate on its diversity policy during this seminar.
Our campaign resulted in publications by i.a. Mind Shakes, Trouw, Het Parool, De Volkskrant and NOS op 3 and much discussion on social media. Moreover, the seminar with national and international speakers was well attended by the film and television industry who listened to the debates and recommendations about a more inclusive tv and film landscape.
