Oedipus, a local craft beer brewery started by four friends in their late twenties, has rapidly grown to the leading craft beer brand of Amsterdam. Oedipus believes in a world where people are colourful and different. With this in mind, Oedipus creates quality brews for any kind of character at any given moment, sharing these intimate moments with kindred spirits.
In 2015 Oedipus was set to grow significantly in production and distribution. Setting great store in their founding beliefs and community, Novel developed a brand strategy that allows for value-based communications, guiding Oedipus’ internal and external image. Based on this brand strategy, a corporate strategy was developed, allowing the growth of the company in the coming years without losing its fundamental charm and open-ended production process.
Working with Oedipus, Novel has determined the brand identity. Through the brand strategy, the identity was anchored in all communications. Also, a value-based corporate strategy was developed, serving as a guideline for operations, targeting and team management.
